Our family
He was a naturalist and an author. His letters, essays, and books are telling of his adventures in nature, especially in the Himalayas mountains. They have been read by millions and are still popular today. His writings and philosophy strongly influenced the formation of the modern environmental movement.He was also a leading spokesman for the sustainable use of natural resources for the benefit of the people.
I remember John as always happy, helpful and unselfish person. To keep him in our memories we are reading his essays everyday and have discussion afterwards. Thanks to this his memory lives on....
